THE WEEKEND
Cheshire brings the festival to the north-west: clubs from across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Merseyside and North Wales meeting for a May weekend that's become a fixture in the calendar.
Expect a full festival programme — competitive pools by age group and every result posted — wrapped in the same Revel weekend the southern festivals are known for.
Blue Planet Aquarium is next door, Chester and Chester Zoo are close by, and Sale Sharks and the Super League clubs are within the hour for a match if the fixtures fall right — while the holiday park keeps everyone together once the rugby's done.

THE FORMAT
HOW THE RUGBY
WORKS
Day one runs a group format, with each team playing three to four matches. Fixtures are staggered across age groups, so squads typically play in the morning or the afternoon — less waiting around, and the rest of the day free for the park.
Day two is seeded from day one's results: top-performing teams compete for the Revel Cup, middle-ranked teams for the Revel Challenge Cup, and lower-ranked teams for the Revel Shield — so every team plays both days against opposition of a similar standard, still in the hunt for silverware. Depending on entries, additional cups may be awarded in each age group.
After each final, teams take the stage with music and the families in full voice, and medals and trophies are presented.
