A Revel festival is a whole weekend for a whole club, not an afternoon of pool games. Your teams get a proper fixture programme, your families get a holiday park, a medal for every mini and finals worth playing for above that. These are the mini and junior rugby festivals running in 2027 — UK weekends we run ourselves, plus European partner festivals we organise the tour for.
HOW THE WEEKEND RUNS
What happens at a Revel festival weekend?
THE DAY BEFORE
Teams arrive the day before the rugby starts, so nobody plays after a five-hour coach. Lodges get claimed, kit gets dumped, and by dinner the holiday park already sounds like one big club social. The whole club stays in one place.
DAY ONE
Day one is a group stage — usually three matches, staggered across the age groups so squads spend less time waiting and more time playing. Most sides play either the morning or the afternoon, and the rest of the day is theirs.
DAY TWO
Day two is built from day one's results — usually two matches. Top teams go for the Revel Cup, the middle group for the Revel Challenge Cup and the rest for the Revel Shield, so every team is still playing for something on Sunday, against opposition of a similar standard.
The exact shape of the group stage follows the entries in each age group: where a category is bigger we add extra cups, and where it is smaller we build the format around the teams we have. Tell us your age group and we will tell you how it is filling up.
THE PRESENTATION
After each final the teams come up on stage with music and their families roaring, and the medals and trophies are handed out. Then the evening takes over.

Which age groups play, and is it competitive?
Our UK festivals run age groups from Under 7 upwards; the exact range is set per festival and listed on every festival page from the live entry data. Girls-only categories run at selected festivals — those are set out on the girls rugby page.
NON-COMPETITIVE
Minis, Under 11 and below, play non-competitive festival rugby. No tables, no knockout: every player is called up and medalled. Squad sizes step up with the age group — four at Under 7 through to nine at Under 11 — and daily playing time is capped, from 50 minutes at the youngest ages to 90 at the oldest.
COMPETITIVE
From Under 12 up it is competitive: twelve-a-side at Under 12, thirteen at Under 13, fifteen from Under 14, with the cup, challenge cup and shield structure above. That is why a mid-table club side and an academy-fed side both leave with a final to talk about.

COVERS
What's included when you book a festival?
Every Revel-run UK festival package includes team entry, access to all your scheduled matches, and accommodation as part of the package your club chooses. Medals go to every player in the non-competitive age groups; in the competitive ones, to all finalists, with trophies for the winners of each final.
On-site first aid runs for the whole festival, and from the moment you enquire you have a named Revel tour manager who walks the organiser through the booking — not a shared inbox. Extras sit outside the package: coach travel, a stadium day, surf lessons, go-karts. Tell us what the squad is into and we price it in.

COAST, GORGE AND MOUNTAIN
Where are the 2027 festivals?
Devon opens the season on the North Devon coast over the Easter holidays — pool games in the morning, the beach and the surf in the afternoon. North Wales is the newest weekend on the calendar: coastal pitches, mountains behind them.
Cheddar is the adventure festival, played at the foot of the gorge with caving, climbing and gorge walks between games. Somerset is the classic — the biggest of the May festivals, and a touchline three-deep by Sunday. Cheshire brings it north to Ellesmere Port, drawing clubs from Lancashire, Yorkshire, Merseyside and North Wales, with Chester, Chester Zoo and professional rugby — Sale Sharks and the Super League clubs — close enough for a day out. Whitsun is the long one — rugby league over May half-term.

ABROAD
Can we take the club abroad instead?
Yes — for many clubs the international festival is the natural next step after a couple of UK weekends. We work with partner festivals hosted by some of Europe's biggest clubs: the Hilversum International in the Netherlands, the Ghent Easter tournament in Belgium and the Portugal Rugby Youth Festival on the Lisbon coast. They run their own formats and age groups; we organise the tour around them, so travel, transfers, accommodation and entry come as one trip.
If your squad wants fixtures rather than a festival — Biarritz, Cork, Barcelona, Japan — that is a rugby tour, and it lives on the tours page.

How does the club pay for it?
This is usually the part that stops a tour, so we took it off the organiser. Your quote becomes one share link. Put it in the parents' group chat and every family books their own places, picks their own accommodation and pays Revel directly. No club bank account, no cash at training, no rooming spreadsheet.
A deposit secures the weekend and families pay the rest in instalments, with the balance landing before the tour. We send the reminders, not you, and your organiser dashboard shows who has booked, who has paid and where everyone is staying. There is financial protection on every booking.

What is a mini and junior rugby festival?
It is a weekend tournament for a club's mini and junior sections. Teams play a group stage on day one — usually three matches — and a cup, challenge cup or shield competition on day two, usually two. The format follows the entries in each age group, and the whole club stays together on a holiday park.
Which age groups can enter a Revel rugby festival?
Our UK festivals run from Under 7 upwards, with the exact age groups set per festival and published on each festival page from the live entry data. Selected festivals also run girls-only categories. Under 11 and below play non-competitive rugby; Under 12 up is competitive.
Do the minis play competitive rugby?
No. Under 11 and below play non-competitive festival rugby — no tables, no knockout — and every player is called onto the stage and medalled. Competitive festival rugby, with cups, starts at Under 12.
Does every player get a medal?
Every player in a non-competitive age group gets a medal. In the competitive age groups all finalists receive medals and the winners of each final receive trophies, presented on stage.
Can parents and younger siblings come to a rugby festival?
Yes — that is the whole design. The festival is built around family accommodation on a holiday park, with evening entertainment, pools and arcades on site for the non-playing half of the family.
How much does a rugby festival weekend cost?
Prices are per person and vary by festival and by the accommodation each family chooses, so every festival page shows a live from-price. A deposit secures the place; the balance is paid in instalments before the tour.
