THREE NIGHTS ON THE COAST,
TWO DAYS OF RUGBY
You arrive on the Friday, the squads are on the pitch at Ellesmere Port on the Saturday and Sunday, and you travel home on the Monday. In between there is a holiday park with a pool in it, a beach down the road, and a whole club in one place for three days.
The usual Revel format: a group stage on the Saturday, Sunday seeded from it, and the weekend finishing on the stage with the medals and the trophies and the families in full voice.
The festival runs U7–U16, with girls' age groups as well as boys'. Age groups are staggered across the two days, so a club bringing four squads is not trying to be in four places at once.

The parks are the easy answer, and they sit on the road between the ferry and the pitches. But if the squad would rather wake up in a city, we can put you in a hotel in Liverpool or Manchester and run the same coach to every fixture. Everything else about the trip is unchanged — the same coach from your clubhouse and the same ferry, priced per person for your group.
Ask for it when you enquire and we will quote it beside the park price, so you can put both in front of the parents.
THE JOURNEY
OFF THE FERRY, INTO THE PARK

FRIDAY MORNING
The coach is outside the clubhouse and the kitbags go under it. Nobody books a crossing, nobody drives, nobody counts cars in a car park at seven in the morning.

THE CROSSING
Dublin to Holyhead, the squad together on deck with the rest of the trip ahead of them. The coach crosses with you rather than meeting you on the far side.

FRIDAY EVENING
Off at Holyhead and about an hour up the coast. Keys, lodges, and the pool open before the rugby has even started.
Clubs in the south can travel Rosslare to Fishguard instead. It is the closer port for the south east and a longer drive once you land — tell us where the club is based and we will quote the route that suits you.
THE WHOLE TRAVELLING PARTY
WHOLE CLUB, ONE COACH,
NOBODY SPLIT UP
Bring one squad or bring the whole mini and junior section. Players, siblings and parents travel on the same coach and stay on the same park, and that coach stays with you all weekend for the runs between the park and the pitches. No convoy, no family left working out its own way there.
The evenings on the park are put on for the whole travelling party, not just the squads — which is how a club comes home having had a holiday as well as a festival.
BETWEEN THE GAMES
DAYS OUT ON THE COAST
The parks are on the coast west of Chester and the festival is at Ellesmere Port, just north of it. Plenty of clubs add a day to the trip. Any of these can be built into your itinerary and priced into your quote.
Watch some pro rugby
RGC play Welsh rugby at Colwyn Bay, a short run along the coast from the parks, and Sale Sharks are about an hour away in the Premiership at Salford — a match if the fixtures fall right, priced into the trip.
Blue Planet Aquarium
At Ellesmere Port, next to the festival — the sharks and the underwater tunnel fill the hours either side of a kick-off.
The beach and Talacre lighthouse
At Talacre, through the dunes to the sand and the lighthouse standing on it. Costs nothing but an afternoon.
Chester
The Roman walls, the Rows and the river. The easiest half-day on the list.
Chester Zoo
Under an hour away, and the one the younger age groups ask for. A full day out for a coachload.
Llandudno
The pier and the Great Orme tramway up the headland, a short run west along the coast.
Conwy Castle
The castle and the walled town beside it, on the way along the coast to Llandudno.
Zip World, Snowdonia
The Velocity zip line, about an hour from the parks — one for the older age groups.
League fans are covered too: St Helens, Warrington and Wigan are all within about an hour for a Super League game. Tell us what the squad would like to do and we build the itinerary, the transport and the timings around the rugby.

Get your quote
Tell us your club, your age groups and roughly how many are travelling. We come back with a price per person and a booking link for your club.
- 02
Share the link with the group
Drop the link in the club WhatsApp group. That is the organiser's job done — nobody collects money, keeps a spreadsheet or chases a family who hasn't paid.
- 03
Families book their own
Each family picks the park and the unit that suits them and pays its own deposit to secure its place. Units go in the order families book, so the clubs that share the link early get the widest choice.

Balance 10 weeks before you travel
Each family pays its balance 10 weeks before you go, on its own booking. Both dates are on your quote and on every family's confirmation from the start.
BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
THE THREE THINGS WE WALK YOU THROUGH
Taking a mini and junior section out of the country comes with a short list, and it is short. We send it to you as a checklist when you book and work through it with you.
Passports
From 28 September 2026 the Dublin and Rosslare crossings will need a valid passport, or an Irish passport card, for every passenger of any age. A passport card is quicker and cheaper than a book. Worth checking expiry dates over the winter, because spring renewals run long. A player who is neither Irish nor British will also need a UK ETA.
Permission
Permission to take a squad abroad is your union's to give rather than ours, and your branch sets the form and the notice period — so it is worth starting the week the club commits. We send you the festival dates, the venue and the organiser details in the form they ask for them.
Supervision
Your own vetted adults travel with the squad, under a named team manager, to your club's and your union's ratios. No adult shares a room with a child — we plan the unit allocation with you before anything is confirmed, so the club's room plan holds.
A trip risk-assessment template is available on request, and it is worth telling the club's insurer about the trip before you travel.
FROM NORTHERN IRELAND
FROM THE NORTH, IT IS JUST AS EASY
It is a domestic trip from the North. We pick up from Belfast and Newry, the coach crosses with you from Belfast or Larne, and clubs travelling from Northern Ireland are quoted in sterling.
If the sailing times suit your squad better, we can run you down to Dublin and cross from there instead — same coach, same package. Worth knowing that the Dublin route is one of the ones where every passenger needs a passport or passport card from 28 September 2026, while the Belfast sailings are unchanged. Tell us your numbers and we will price whichever works.

QUESTIONS IRISH CLUBS ASK
- How much is it?
- It depends on your group size, the park and the units your families choose — send us your numbers and we'll price it for you. The price comes back per person, door to door: the coach from your club, the ferry, three nights on the park and festival entry.
- How long is the crossing?
- Dublin to Holyhead takes about three and a quarter to three and a half hours, and it is the sailing most clubs travel on. Rosslare to Fishguard is the southern alternative, with a longer drive at the Welsh end. Your coach is on the same sailing as the squad, so nobody is left waiting at either port, and the exact sailing is confirmed with your booking.
- Do the parents travel on the coach?
- Yes. The coach is for the whole travelling party — players, siblings and parents — and everyone stays on the same park. It is the same coach out, back, and between the park and the pitches all weekend.
- Can we bring more than one age group?
- Yes, and most clubs do. The festival runs U7–U16, with girls' age groups as well as boys', and age groups play at staggered times across the two days, so a club travelling with several squads is not trying to be in three places at once.
- What is there to do between matches?
- The parks themselves carry the weekend — pools, arcades, evening entertainment and the beach — and they are included. On top of that we can build in Blue Planet Aquarium next to the festival, Chester or Chester Zoo, Llandudno and the Great Orme, Zip World for the older age groups, or a professional rugby match if the fixtures fall right — each priced into your quote. - How does paying work?
- Each family pays a deposit to secure its place, then the balance ten weeks before you travel. Every family books and pays for itself through its own link, so the organiser never collects the money and is never left carrying a family who drops out.
- Can we pay in euro?
- Yes. Clubs travelling from the Republic are quoted per person in euro and pay in it. Clubs travelling from Northern Ireland are quoted in sterling.
- What if a child has no passport?
- They will need one. From 28 September 2026 the Dublin and Rosslare routes will accept only a valid passport or an Irish passport card, for every passenger of any age. An Irish passport card counts and is quicker and cheaper than a book. Worth applying as soon as the squad is confirmed, because spring renewals run long. A player who is neither Irish nor British will also need a UK ETA. The Belfast routes are unchanged.
- Do we need permission to travel?
- Your club's permission to take a squad abroad is your union's to give rather than ours, and your branch will have its own form and its own notice period — worth starting it the week the club commits. We send you the festival dates, the venue and the organiser details in the form they ask for them.
- Who supervises the children?
- Your club's own vetted adults, under a named team manager, to your own club and union's ratios. No adult shares a room with a child, and we plan the unit allocation with you so the club's own room plan holds. Revel's staff are on site all weekend running the festival and the park — they are not a substitute for the club's own supervision.
- When do we have to commit?
- Accommodation is first come, first served, and the coast parks fill before the rugby does — so the clubs that ask early get the pick. Tell us your numbers and we'll tell you what is available while the club decides.
