What is a Revel rugby tour?
A tour is a trip built around your squad rather than a tournament draw. We arrange the fixtures with local clubs at your level, book the accommodation, move you between hotel and pitches, and put a tour manager with the group.
Most of our rugby tours run two organised fixtures against well-matched local opposition across a two to four-night trip, with the time between games spent on what actually makes a tour — the beach, the city, the stadium. Where do clubs and schools tour?

In the UK, Bath and Brighton are the short-haul favourites — two nights, two friendly fixtures and something to do that isn't rugby, from the Georgian city to the Palace Pier arcades. The UK Performance Tour is the serious end: a week of professional coaching, elite facilities, fixtures against quality UK opposition and stadium tours at historic British grounds.
LILLE TO BARCELONA
In Europe, Lille is the easy first tour abroad — three nights, coach and ferry from the UK, two fixtures against French opposition. Cork gives you Irish rugby culture and a ferry crossing; Biarritz the Basque coast and fixtures against local Basque clubs; Barcelona and the Costa Blanca Mediterranean rugby, paddle boarding or a surf lesson, and hotel breakfasts nobody has to cook.

And then there is Japan — seven nights, fixtures in Tokyo and Osaka, a training session with a Japanese high school team, Chichibu and Hanazono stadiums, a sumo stable visit and the bullet train between cities. What's included in a rugby tour?
Exact inclusions are listed on every tour, because a three-night trip to Lille and a seven-night trip to Japan are not the same product. The pattern is consistent: accommodation with breakfast, the organised fixtures, all internal transport for fixtures and activities, airport transfers or ferry and coach travel, and tour manager support throughout.
Activities are named in the itinerary rather than hinted at — a surf lesson on the Costa Blanca, paddle boarding along the Barcelona coastline, tenpin bowling in Bath, the pier in Brighton, sumo and Shinkansen in Japan. If the squad wants something that isn't listed, ask; most of it can be priced in. Several tours also include the Revel App and a Clubhouse login, which is how organisers and families keep track of the trip.

Festival weekend or bespoke tour — which suits your club?
A WHOLE SECTION
Take the festival if you are moving a whole section. Festivals suit minis and juniors, multiple age groups travelling together, and families who want a holiday park and an evening programme as much as the rugby. Everything is fixed: dates, format, venue, medal ceremony.
ONE OR TWO SQUADS
Take the tour if you are moving one or two squads and you want fixtures rather than a tournament. Tours suit older age groups, school teams, senior and performance sides, and any club that wants a destination as much as an opponent — dates, length and itinerary are yours. Plenty of clubs do both: the festival in spring for the whole club, the tour in summer for the squad that has earned it.

How are the fixtures arranged?
We arrange them with local clubs at your destination and match them to the standard you tell us your squad is playing at, so the games are worth travelling for in both directions. The number of fixtures is set out in each tour's itinerary — two organised games is the norm on a short tour — and transport to and from every fixture is included.
School groups are a different job from club groups, and we treat them as one: Revel arranges documentation support including invitation letters, visa guidance and parent information packs, plus a shareable information link for parents, guardians and faculty.

The same way the festivals work, because it is the same system. Your tour becomes one share link. Every family books their own places, picks their own room and pays Revel directly — no club treasurer float, no bank transfers dribbling in for six months, no rooming spreadsheet. A deposit secures the trip and instalments spread the rest, with reminders sent by us.
