THE WEEKEND
Somerset is the biggest of our May festivals — wave after wave of mini and junior sides, pitches as far as you can see, and a touchline atmosphere that builds all weekend.
The rugby is built around the right things: every side gets a full fixture card, and day one always sets up a day two worth fighting for. Minis play non-competitive festival rugby with medals for all; from U12 up there are multiple cups in every age group, so whatever your level, day two is a final you can win.
Add the holiday-park evenings — pool, arcade, showbar — and you get the weekend clubs rebook before they've even left the car park.

THE FORMAT
HOW THE RUGBY
WORKS
Day one kicks off with a group format, with each team playing three to four matches. Matches are staggered across age groups so teams spend less time waiting and more time playing - squads typically play either in the morning or afternoon, leaving the rest of the day free to explore and relax.
Day two follows a similar staggered schedule, with fixtures based on the previous day’s results. Top-performing teams compete for the prestigious Revel Cup, middle-ranked teams for the Revel Challenge Cup, and lower-ranking teams for the Revel Shield. Every team plays on both days against opposition of a similar standard. Depending on entries, additional cups may be awarded in each age group.
After each final, teams come together on stage with music and support from families, and commemorative medals and trophies are presented to celebrate their achievements.
